I recently embarked on a journey aboard the Qantas A380-800, a superjumbo aircraft that promises a luxurious travel experience. My flight from Sydney to Johannesburg, QF63, was a rollercoaster of highs and lows, leaving me with a unique perspective on the airline's service.

Qantas' self-check-in kiosks may not be the most inviting, but the human touch at the priority check-in counter was a pleasant surprise.
